This home was filled with 90’s era contractor-grade materials, fixtures and design decisions. Many of these features were also in disrepair; others were or so poorly designed as to render certain spaced almost usable.
For the kitchen, powder room and kids’ bathroom, we updated inside and out with new millwork, new tile and new plumbing. We added a shower in the first floor guest bath so as to accommodate longer-term guests. In the master suite, we completely reworked the bathroom and closet arrangement, taking the closet out from the middle of the bathroom and making it larger and accessible from the bedroom. This allowed us to open up the bathroom with a much simpler floor plan, and to add a huge skylight.
