Bookcase and paneled walls // Streeterville / Chicago, Illinois

This project began when the client brought us an image of a piece he had built for his first house – a wall-to-wall bookcase made of half inch panels. Looking for something similarly modern for his urban library, but a bit richer in color and feel, we created a bookcase comprised of 91 half inch walled “cubbies,” all separated by a half inch reveal and including six central cubbies for storage. We also paneled the fireplace and the wall adjacent to the bookcase to create a more complete library feel.
